CHUCKANUT WRITERS CONFERENCE
If you are a student with a love for writing, you are in luck. On June 24 and 25, several local authors will be visiting Whatcom’s campus. For just $135, you can attend workshops, and there’s even a chance to submit your work for a chance to be published! The regular price is $245, but if you sign up as a student you get a major discount.
NEW BIOLOGY HIRE
Hilary Engebretson has accepted a full-time tenure biology position starting fall 2011. She has been teaching at Whatcom since 1999 in a variety of areas. Prior to teaching here, she got her Bachelor’s Degree in biology from Oral Roberts University, and a Master’s Degree in Marine and Estuarine Science from Western Washington University.
