Whatcom Community College’s Bike Club held a bicycle repair workshop from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24 inside the lobby of the Pavilion. The event was open to any cyclist on campus interested in learning about bicycle repair and maintenance.
Any person on campus could come and have their bicycle repaired by a volunteer mechanic for free and have questions answered as well as be shown how to use tools and fix their mechanical problems themselves.
Although the weather is getting colder, the bike Club plans to hold similar events throughout fall quarter and in the future to promote cycling on campus.
The Bike Club also has tools and a repair stand open for use by Whatcom Students. Interested students can contact the Bike Club or advisor John Toof for information.
