Global Panel Event: World Impacts and Solutions to Climate Change
A presentation held by Eli Loomis will cover recent developments of climate change throughout the world on Wednesday, May 13. Following the presentation will be an international student panel discussing impacts and solutions of climate change in their home countries.The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Noisy Water Review extended deadline
The Noisy Water Review’s submission deadline has been extended to May 10 due to a low number of academic submissions this year. Essays, poems, short stories, art, and music are included in possible material submissions. All guidelines can be found at http://noisywater.whatcom.edu/.
Trampoline Zone Student Night
On April 30 from 8-10 p.m., the Program and Diversity Board and Student Life will be going to Trampoline Zone for student night. All students are welcome and encouraged to join. Trampoline Zone is located at 4201 Meridian St. #107, Bellingham, WA. Come to the Office of Student Life in the Student Syre Center for more information.
Blood drive
On April 29th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a blood drive held in the visitor parking lot north of Laidlaw Center. It is being sponsored by SNOW (Student Nurses of Whatcom). For students who are interested, photo ID is required, and donors should eat at least 3 hours prior to donating.
Free CIS student-run help desk
There will be a CIS program help desk located in Baker Hall run by program students and IT Pro Club members to help with issues with home computers, all for free. Support services include repairs, virus/spyware removal, troubleshooting, and more.
