Whatcom Community College Orca Women’s Volleyball opened conference play at Everett Wednesday night, and it was a battle until the very end. It would end up going 5 sets, with the Trojans pulling away in the end and taking the final set 15-12. Maya Galley led the way with 16 kills and Kennedy House followed with 10. Orca Volleyball now is 11-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play. Tuesday, Sep. 27, the Orcas will take on the Shoreline Dolphins at 7 p.m. at home.
The Whatcom Men’s Soccer Team took on Skagit Valley at home Wednesday night Sep. 21, and it turned out to be a tough head-to-head battle. It would end up being a 1-1 draw. Saturday, Sep. 24 they traveled to face Edmonds Tritons, they ultimately fell short 2-1 in the end. Now they stand at 5-2-2 Overall and 4-1-2 in conference play. Their next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sep. 28 at home.
The Whatcom Women’s Soccer Team also faced off against Skagit Valley Wednesday night at home. The match turned out to be a 0-0 tie. That brings them to 1-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in Conference play. They will take on the Everett Trojans at home at 5 p.m. next Wednesday, Sep 28.
