A little snippet of the Anakin-Ahsoka dynamic that fans of the “Filoniverse” have been starved for can now be found in the streaming Star Wars animated anthology “Tales of the Jedi.” Die-hards have been waiting for their chance to hear the voice actors and see the distinct animation style of Dave Filoni’s “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” for years.

Episodes 1, 5, and 6 will only be fully appreciated by those who have ties to the Ahsoka Tano character who has appeared in numerous Star Wars-centric TV shows recently but not in the movies. Rosario Dawson plays the character in the live-action productions, including Filoni’s passion project – the upcoming “Ahsoka” show that is rumored to air in late 2023.
The first episode details an event in which Ahsoka (on her home world as a toddler) displays her attunement with the Force even at a very young age. The fifth episode was a standout for those heavily invested in Anakin Skywalker’s relationship with his young Togruta Padawan.
Episode six is a shortened version of the events in the novel by E. K. Johnston, “Ahsoka.” This tale takes place after the end of “Clone Wars” but long before the character’s recent reappearance in “The Mandalorian.”
The remaining episodes feature characters from the prequel trilogy, such as Count Dooku and Mace Windu.
Voice actor standouts Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter, James Arnold Taylor, Dee Bradley Baker, Corey Burton, Phil LaMarr and Ian McDiarmid reprise their original roles.
