On Wednesday night, men’s soccer played the Clark Penguins in the NWAC Regional Playoff. The Penguins opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a goal from Oeyvind Rydland. The Orcas would remain scoreless through the first half but would break through in the second. Beckham Uderitz got the Orcas on the board in the 57th minute. The Orcas shut out the Penguins in the second half as they went on to win 3-1. Next the Orcas move on to the NWAC Quarterfinals and will travel to face the Columbia Basin Hawks at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
Women’s soccer played the final game of their season against the Shoreline Dolphins Saturday, Oct. 29, and it was a hard-fought battle, but unfortunately, the Orcas would fall short by a score of 2-1. They finish their season with an overall record of 2-8-3 and a conference record of 2-5-3.
Orca Volleyball traveled to Skagit Valley Wednesday, Nov. 2 needing a win to keep their postseason hopes alive. The match went down to the wire as the Orcas needed all 5 setsto put the Cardinals away 3-2. That brings their overall record to 17-7 and their conference record to 6-5. They will play their last regular season game at home Friday, Nov 4 against the Bellevue Bulldogs needing a win to secure a playoff spot.
