Gene Tagaban, a Native American story-teller “47 years young,” graced the Heiner Theater stage on November 14. A man of Cherokee, Filipino, and Talinga decent, Gene Tagaban gave an interactive performance of many Native American myths that included Native American flutes and drums. Throughout his performance, he said many inspirational quotes, one being the running theme of his performance “You are the light of the world.”
