Whatcom Community College Orca Day 2013 Posted on June 6, 2013November 3, 2022 by Horizon Staff Photos by Peter Stampher A student leaps into a Zorb ball rented from Airplay by the Program and Diversity Board. Students took turns running in these balls in the field outside of Kulshan. Program and diversity board tye dye station. Shirts designed by Whatcom students Oscar Hguirre and Lissa Clear were passed out for free. The PDB got the tshirts from prostock athletics. Students then tye dyed the shirts. Free snow cones were offered outside of Kulshan on Orca Day. Students climb a 30 foot rock wall rented from Consumer Rentals as another student looks on. Student participates in a ring toss trying to make a ring around a water bottle. If they win they recieve a free refillable water bottle. This was put on by the sustainability club. A painting created by a member of the art club on orca day using spray paint outside of kulshan Free 10 minute massages were given by members of the Massage Therapy Program at Whatcom in front of Syre. The art club wanted to have murals ready for viewing but ran out of time so they decided to paint them while Orca Day was going on. Idea for the mural display on Orca Day came from Ibarra and the art clubs president.
