Whatcom’s Oktoberfest Fan Appreciation Day-
The Programming and Diversity Board, Whatcom athletics, German club and the International Friendship club are putting on a fan appreciation day for Orca soccer Wednesday Oct. 30 on Orca field. There will be contests such as a goal kicking competition, and winners will receive prizes. A live German band will also be performing. The women’s game begins at 2 p.m. and the men’s game begins at 4:15 p.m. Refreshments will be served and are free for students with a Whatcom I.D. and a Halloween costume.
Dreams Unlimited-
Award winning film-makers and story tellers Tay Siang Hui and Val Tan Xin Hui will be visiting Whatcom’s Syre Student Center Auditorium Nov. 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. They have traveled around the world, starting from Singapore, sharing the dreams of the people they have encountered.
Western Washington University Majors Fair-
Representatives from Western will be coming to Whatcom’s Syre Auditorium Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide information for various major programs at Western.
TedxBellingham Viewing Party-
A livecast of the inaugural TEDxBellingham event will be available for viewing at Whatcom Nov. 12 in Syre Student Center rooms 107 and 108. The livecast begins at 10 a.m., and runs until 5 p.m.
